The interview process was very straightforward and transparent. There was a 4-question codesignal and two coding rounds. Both interviewers and recruiters were very kind and excited to answer my questions about Facebook; I felt that they were always rooting for me and made me feel welcomed.

One leetcode medium with lots of follow-up questions for first interview, two leetcode mediums for second interview.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Meta in Oct 2020
Interview
Contacted by email after applying online. Scheduled a 45 min phone screen with Facebook engineer. The interview primarily consisted of coding. I could ask the engineer some questions at the end.

Question 1
Given a string of type “(({X}({Y})))(Z)”, determine the max depth of nested parentheses in the string. Answer is in this case 4. Parentheses without variables in them do not count.
There are two coding rounds. Each of them has two medium coding problems. The experience was nice, but they have a high bar and expect you to solve the problems quickly and accurately.
