Hearst interview questions

A very straight forward process, interview --> edit test --> offer. However, my one complaint is that staff was not communicative about the process or the timeline. Additionally, apply to a job through the Hearst portal is basically pointless. I've worked for big name Hearst publications and interviewed for multiple editorial jobs over the years and have only ever gotten an interview/job through reaching out to an editor or contact directly.

Whole process took about 3 weeks (1 interview per week basically). The recruiter was really nice and enthusiastic, she mostly spoke during our 30 minute phone call and really seemed interested in my work. Scheduling with the team lead and design team was quite fast and easy. Did a case study presentation, but felt like I didn't have enough time to ask as many questions as possible. Seemed like the design team didn't even want to ask me any questions to really get to know me as a designer or about my skills or experience. They saved the last 10 minutes for me to ask questions and immediately stopped when we hit 45 minutes. One of the interviewers didn't seem particularly interested in being there and their answers made it seem like Hearst wasn't the best place for a junior designer to start their career.
