The interview process is a structured evaluation to assess a candidate’s skills, experience, and cultural fit. It typically involves resume screening, phone interviews, technical assessments, and final rounds with managers to determine suitability for a specific role.
I was asked about my final year project (UPI fraud detection using ML), Java concepts (OOPs, encapsulation, access specifiers), and basic SQL queries.
They also asked scenario-based questions related to real-time data handling and how I would optimize or validate results.I was asked about my final year project (UPI fraud detection using ML), Java concepts (OOPs, encapsulation, access specifiers), and basic SQL queries.

Question 1
One key question they asked me was to explain my final year project in detail — how it works, what technologies I used, and what role I played. Since my project was on UPI fraud detection using machine learning, they were curious about how I handled data processing, which ML algorithm I used (CNN), and how I validated the fraud detection. They also asked how I would implement this in a real-time system — so they were clearly looking at how practically I can apply technical concepts.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at HCLTech (Bengaluru) in Jul 2022
