I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at FDM Group (New York, NY) in Mar 2018
Interview
There was a phone screening with a recruiter, followed by video call (really a recording of your answers), a technical test (which was pretty easy if you know basic CS concepts), and then an onsite where you are herded with other candidates and take turns to interview 3 or 4 employees.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Follow this flow diagram. What is thd output of this program.
Applied online and got a call within a few days to set up a phone interview phone interview had some basic technical questions (what is polymorphism? what are the types of joins in sql?) The next round was 2 parts an aptitude test that was pretty basic logic and math problems and a video interview where you record responses to a questions.
I applied online. I interviewed at FDM Group (Toronto, ON) in Jan 2019
Interview
Had phone interview with FDM in which they asked about my background, why I want to work with them, basic programming questions, and if I will stick with them for two years. Then they told me about the next steps, 16 week training and how I will be assigned to one of their clients. I was told they would call back later in the day or the next day if I move to the next step or not.
Those days, weeks passed and I never received a single response from the interviewer regarding this position. I am very angry, this is completely rude and disrespectful to the people who are looking for work and struggling to land a decent job, and who expect a professional response from companies they meet. The last time I had a phone interview with FDM years ago for the Academy Program, the interviewer replied back on my application status with an email. This time for this job: nothing. I do not recommend applying to this company.
