I applied online and received an email with an invitation to an on-campus interview in less than a week. The interview was about 2.5 hours and consisted of 3 parts (behavorial, technical, and case).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I was asked how to design a credit card/bank account system.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Capital One (McLean, VA) in Sep 2018
Interview
The interview process was good overall, first came a behavioral interview, then came a case study interview, and last was the technical interview which comprised of 3 questions, OOP, Summary Ranges, and Deep Copy Linked List. I didn't study so I never did that well on it and accepted an offer from a tier 1 company else where.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Capital One (Blacksburg, VA) in Feb 2019
Interview
The interview was three parts, a case study, a technical portion, and a behavioral interview.
For the case study, you had to describe the logistics of acquiring a company and the different issues you might run into during the acquisition.
The technical questions were just questions about algorithms. My interviewer wasn't really paying attention to what I was doing or saying, so it felt a little uncomfortable.
The behavioral portion asked questions about different projects I've had and what sort of strategies I used to deal with problems in those projects.
Overall, it wasn't that difficult of an interview looking back on it.
