I applied online. I interviewed at Booking.com (Roma) in Jul 2015
Interview
I underwent two phone interviews (the recruiters called from Spain) and then, after 4 weeks, I got an invitation for the final assessment in Rome with an advance notice of 2 days.
I declined their invitation.
Someone should explain why they keep posting the same job ads over and over...
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Booking.com (Londres, Inglaterra) in Aug 2015
Interview
I applied about a month before I heard back from them (I'd actually forgotten I'd applied). They wanted me to for the test two days after the email which was impossible. They then said they weren't able to reschedule a test, then lo and behold, the next day they suddenly decided they could reschedule the test.
You have a 1.5-hour written test spilt into five parts. This was handwritten, not on a computer. You have to use such basic English, no idioms, metaphors etc (it sounds really dull when you've written it), as most of the viewers are not native speakers.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The written test consists of
1) rewriting a hotel review (they say to edit it in a tiny box which is ridiculous - you need to rewrite the entire thing on another piece of paper); choosing a photo from a choice of four and reasoning why it should be the main pic; saying which other pics should be included and why.
2) reading five reviews from customers and then writing a hotel review based on this.
3) writing a letter to an unhappy hotelier who wants his hotel to be listed as the best one in the area.
4) writing a destination review - they give a couple of pointers that can be included.
5) proofreading
You have no internet access and you can't type anything - so moving paragraphs around just isn't an option! What you write first, is what they read, pretty much.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Booking.com (Atenas, , Ática) in Jul 2015
Interview
The was not interview at all. The only thing was a test regarding the content. I was really prepared, although I did not have the chance to prove my interest in working for Booking.com
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
There was not an interview. I just had to do the test.
