I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Amazon
Interview
Very bad experience.
Looks like they come with just an agenda of rejecting the candidate. Honestly the interview sucks.
Telephonic interview cannot give good perspective about candidates. And all the more, the way these guys take interviews is screwing that up further.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon
Interview
Two phone calls with two different people. The first with reporting manager. High level conversation. More a meet-n-greet. Second with one of his peers. Confusing objectives for the conversation. Sloppy recruiting process.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Amazon (Bengaluru) in Sep 2014
Interview
Very long drawn out process from a scheduling a telephonic to a F2F. Very professional though.
Started with a telephonic interview from the hiring manager. Very broad question on warehouse management and space management. After two long weeks was told that I was to go through a second telephonic after a week. Second telephonic was also very broad with questions on designing highly scalable systems. After a week I was told I will be invited to a F2F @ Hyderabad. After another week it was scheduled. Met with all the higher ups including Director level and Sr. Management levels. Met with 6 people including HR. Questions were focused mainly on Web applications, caching strategy, scalability and failover management. In hind sight I felt that they were looking for very unique solutions for all those design questions. Something which is beyond established best practices. HR round was very pleasant with typical questions on people management, conflict management, difficult situations at work and how you would hire people on your team.
