I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Hyderabad) in Sep 2015
Interview
There were 5 rounds of interview. 3 onsite and 2 by phone from Seattle. Interviews in companies like Amazon and Microsoft follow a predetermined structure. They ask basic questions, and expect you to understand things well. If you study Cracking the Coding Interview or Cracking the PM Interview, you'll be prepared for most of the questions that they ask you.

Previous Failures
API design
Finding common items in two linked lists
How to manage an external team dependency
Applied, Recruiter Screen then nothing. Not sure when I'll get a call back. The process seems super complicated. Will apply again now that I know what they are looking for.
HR Screening was scheduled. Then 1 technical screening phone interview was scheduled, followed by two Behavioral interviews, followed by two System design interviews, followed by 1 bar raiser interview. Lastly there was an offer.
