Amazon is a joke. They are unorganized and really only want to hire "cheap" not "quality". I am a shareholder, but plan to sell my stock after going this this joke of a process -because I am concerned about their future. They tote their LP's but recruiters do not even bother speaking with you prior to interviews. They tell you one thing then do something else. Clearly NOT "customer focused". Sadly, this company will fail without Jeff Bezos as CEO. Run...... Google is much better.

Why Amazon (asked four times). Give me an examples of something complex and how you simplified it (asked three times). They have no coordination - just asked the same question. Supposedly testing different LP's - but seriously, just be transparent and ask a direct question. Sad.

Interview
Very positive experience. The down side was there were 6 rounds of interviews in total but they were scheduled close together. Communication was excellent and a huge amount of helpful resources provided to you to help you prepare.
Phone interview. Asked 4 typical question. The Amazon phone interview was structured and focused on behavioral questions using the STAR method. The interviewer was professional, asking about leadership principles, past challenges, and decision-making. It felt fast-paced yet conversational. I shared clear examples from my experience, highlighted results, and ended confident I demonstrated impact and fit.

Tell me about a time you took ownership of a project.
Describe a situation where you disagreed with a teammate or manager.
Give an example of when you delivered results under tight deadlines.
It was a long but a well designed one. There are tips online that one should go over before the interview process. It can take more than one month to complete the steps, so one should be patient while taking all the tests and other stuff.
