I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at AlphaSights (New York, NY)
Interview
The exact format that every person here as outlined.
1. Pre-Interview via Skype
2. Skype Interview with an Employee
3. On-Site Interview
What I will say is this. AlphaSights was timely and professional through out the entire process. It is an organization of very intelligent individuals. But with this said, and why I would advise people against this company, is their business model itself.
Their value added comes from serving as middle-men to help business leaders "get smart quicker". It simply is a goofy idea to realize that you are cold-calling or working with warm-leads to try to connect an individual who wants knowledge to an individual who has it... This process can be done quicker, and cheaper, by simply using Google. This said, this is a company that employs many so they must be finding some sort of success with their model.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Standard questions.
On-Site interview involved two case studies. They revolve entirely around the Bread Process. (As an aside, each individual in the organization referred to this phonetically as the Breed Process. Was bothered by this because it seems so glaring. Regardless).
Part one of the case study.
Your goal is to do the B and R sections of the Bread (Once more, they refer to it as the Breed Process) by identifying market experts and connecting them with someone who would want the knowledge. You are given a prompt with three scenarios and asked to identify two experts. Use LinkedIn - it is truly that simple.
Part two of the case study.
Your goal is to act upon the E, A, and D sections of the Bread Process. You simply need to be able to explain to both sides why communicating with the other is mutually beneficial for both.
I went through 2 rounds of interviews before deciding myself not to move on after the second. The first one was a standard behavioral one, recorded before a screen (might've changed due to the pandemic). The second one consisted of two parts: the first a role play, where I was assigned a case and asked to look for industry experts to answer a question for a made-up client, the second a standard behavioral interview.
