I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Adyen (Ámsterdam) in Jan 2023
Interview
First interview was with an engineer with the same position. Second was with two implementation engineers as a mock call where they took the role of a client and I had to explain the technical integration of one of Adyen's products (Dropin). Although this was lengthy to prepare for, I noticed a disregard for the efforts done.

Question 1
Questions from a client point of view regarding security and resources needed to integrate the product
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Adyen in Apr 2022
Interview
Overall interview process was very smooth and very well communicated. Extra credits for their super responsive HR team. However, the interview process is very lengthy and you have to repeat yourselves quite a few times. I think that can be significantly improved my combining some interviews taken by team members who all basically asked the same questions. But otherwise seems like a great company with some good work culture, the interviewers were very friendly and answered any questions i had.
Besides this there was a question which didn't make any sense to me - A customer is asking us to do something which we know we won't do. how would you communicate it back to customer?
You cannot communicate anything back to the customer unless you know the specific reason why Adyen doesn't do it. So, that was my answer - I would politely communicate it back to customer that we at Adyen won't be able to do it and explain why we don't do it, and explain the methods we recommend, the benefits that has over the other. So, unless they provide a case scenario with more details, i think the question doesn't make sense. It will at least cause consideration based on inaccurate data.

Question 1
Pretend i am from 1950s and now explain me what APIs are?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Adyen (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
Started with a code challenge (work with one of their API components) building an app from scratch using your choice of language.
Afterwards there were a couple behavioral interviews which was extremely two-way (feels more like a chat than most behavioral interviews)
Following that, a final two chats with two execs.
