The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at AT&T (New York, NY) in Jan 2010
Interview
In my first phone interview, I was given extensive information about the company and the different divisions including the division I was applying for. I had to wait one week before scheduling my in person interview. During that interview, I met with 2 different people for 30-45 minutes each answering basic questions about my past experience, where I see myself in 5 years, what are my strengths and weaknesses, etc. After another week I was called back for a second interview where I met a couple more people and repeated the same process. The questions were not difficult. One week after that I received a call from HR extending an offer.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Tell me about a conflict you've had in the past with a colleague and how you've handled it.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at AT&T (Plano, TX) in Aug 2010
Interview
Applied on AT&T's website and after a couple of weeks got a call from one of the associate directors in the 'Audit Services group'. No recruiter, no phone interview, simply called me for an in-person interview the following week.
On the actual day, interviewed with 2 associate directors who asked questions about my audit experience, audit approach and explained in detail about the position and the culture. Great people. This 30-minute interview was then followed by a 1-hour long audit case. Nothing too complicated though, the case described a business case and asked you to identify risks and controls. There were plenty to be found.
After the test, they had me meet the Director for a few minutes who asked some general questions about my experience.
Great people and great culture. Probably just not the right fit for me!
